On International Women’s Day, the Uttarakhand Government marked a significant step toward women’s empowerment with the launch of the Mahila Saarthi Project, in Dehradun—a pilot initiative aimed at enabling women riders to transport women passengers safely and independently. Mahila Saarthi is an initiative of Chamber of Business and Entrepreneur (India) Council partnered with the Uttarakhand Government. The project was officially inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji and Cabinet Minister Smt. Rekha Arya Ji, underscoring the state’s commitment to creating more opportunities for women in the mobility sector. As a key partner in this initiative, Lectrix EV is proud to support this mission by providing 10 electric vehicles, ensuring that women have access to safe, sustainable, and cost-effective transportation.
